Cinescape Report on:

MIRRORS

French Director Alexandre Aja’s [High Tension, P2, The Hills Have Eyes] new horror film was released today in Kuwait. But before you get your hopes up on the early release… there are a few things you might want to know…

Unfortunately, most, if not all, of the deaths scenes have either been edited short or REMOVED completely. Trust me, you won’t be able to get what’s happening. One moment you’re anticipating the horrible death sequence, the next your looking at people walking around with blood all over the walls and taking pictures. And the film splices aren’t subtle at all. Although it was edited together better than most films through the Ministry of Communication, this movie was savagely ripped apart. After contacting Cinescape, it turns out that almost 3 minutes of the movie were edited out. After asking why, they said that “the Ministry of Communication always edits out death scenes in R rated movies. Always, huh?

Recommendation:

Watch if your a horror movie fanatic, and can’t wait for this to be uploaded online.

Don’t watch if you’re anticipating a good movie experience.

Check out my movie review for Mirrors soon. 🙂
