Break + Changes Soon

29 09 2008

Hey everyone. I know I haven’t been posting or commenting enthusiastically on anyones blog lately, but I’ve just been sidetracked by a project of mine. I’ll be taking a break from blogging for about a week, and I’ll be back soon inshallah.

Oh, and keep your eyes open for very controversial changes to the tone of some of the new posts on this blog. A friend of mine is going to join Bow N Arrow and enlighten/entertain us with some of his “writings”. Trust me, you wont want to miss this. :P

One question though… could either of us get in trouble for political/governmental satirical criticism?

He just sent me a quick and “tame” post of his… :P I’m going to skin through it and try to censor what I can :P .. would you guys prefer to read Tipster’s posts in all their glory?

See you soon guys ;) Take care and stay safe

Grey’s Anatomy Season 5 Premier ROCKED

26 09 2008

.

.

.

What’s that show? The one with the gorgeous but troubled resident, in that hospital with all the other gorgeous but troubled residents, discussing her love life while performing complex surgeries and obsessing over her relationship with a certain Dr. McDreamy?

Oh yeah, Grey’s Anatomy:P

Well, I’ve just finished watching the fifth season premier of  of Grey’s Anatomy. And boy was it good.

It seems to be going back to it’s roots and got more “real”. Like the past four seasons, this seasons premier is dosed with drama. And we all love drama, don’t we? :P

Can’t wait til the third episode comes out ;)

Apple now selling iPhone 3G unlocked in Hong Kong

26 09 2008

.

.

.

Apple is now selling its iPhone 3G unlocked via its on-line Apple Store in Hong Kong. The 8GB model sells for HK$5,500 (about US$694) or HK$6,200 (about $797) for the 16GB model. It was already available since July 11th with a local Hutchison Telecommunications contract. So, will the officially unlocked iPhone 3G become available on the US Apple online store soon? ;) It IS gonna happen, we just don’t know when. :/

This is the first time that Apple has sold its device unlocked in Hong Kong:

“iPhone 3G purchased at the Apple Online Store can be activated with any wireless carrier. Simply insert the SIM from your current phone into iPhone 3G and connect to iTunes 8 to complete activation.”

The terms and conditions limit sales to those in Hong Kong only — not that the gray market cares about T&Cs. :P eBay, anyone?

It’ll be interesting to see if Apple extends the unlocking more broadly (presumably as exclusivity deals expire) or if this is strictly a local phenomena. Officially unlocked iPhone 3G’s have been popping up in Australia, New Zeland, Switzerlan, Italy, Germany[black market], and the UK [illegally sold in some stores].

Hidden Message in FRINGE intro

I just found what seems to be a hidden message in the FRINGE intro, the new sci-fi series bu LOST creator J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci.

It’s on the screen for a split second, I barely caught it.

What do you guys think “Observers are here” means?

I guess we’re gonna have to see and find out. I’ll google it after fi6oor and see if I can find something.

I’ll upload a video soon inshallah.

Take care and stay safe :)

My reply to an IMDb thread post

24 09 2008

Well, there was this poster whose post really annoyed me, so I felt compelled to reply.

Here’s my sad attempt at a reply. But seariously, some of my points were actually good. Ya7lailee wallah :P

I very much dislike Christianity and Muslims. All the WARS caused by 2 religions. All the death because of belief. Neither religion helped anybody mentally!!!

Those two religions caused those wars? wow.. okay..

Story # 2: Ford Mustang -> Aston Martin Vanquish + 007 Upgrades

And on another note.. it turns out that this picture of a Aston Martin Vanquish V12 is actually a previous generation Ford Mustang!

Built by Canada-based Exclusive Motor Cars, the extensive conversion included stretching the wheelbase, widening the track, fitting a custom interior, and adding 34 composite body panels to convert the coupe into one of the most believable replicars we’ve ever seen.

Autoblog had discovered it back in January, but it has since received some upgrades straight out of James Bond’s V12 Vanquish in “Die Another Day”. :P

Shraykom? ;)

They’re baaaaack! [most of them at least]

23 09 2008

Hey everyone.. Since most of my favorite shows [and new ones] are coming back, I’ve just been so preoccupied trying to get on track with my favorite TV shows.

I’m currently following almost 30 shows, and for thos of you who ask how I manage… the answer is ORGANIZATION. Seriously, once you organize your time, you can’t even begin to imagine the possibilities of what you can do in that time.

I’m currently watching the Heroes season 3 premier titles “Villians”, and the writing is AMAZING! It’s really good, thoughtprovoking and thrilling. It picks up right where it left off, and I love that about Heroes. There’s not a minute wasted on useless trivial recaps in every new season. :) The recap episode was aired yesterday, to put everyone up to speed on where the show was.

to view the rest of the Heroes season 3 promotional cast pictures click here

List of some of the shows I’m following:

Grey’s Anatomy – Lost – Prison Break – Heroes – Supernatural – Smallville – Desperate Housewives – Fringe – One Tree Hill – Gossip Girl – 90210 – The Big Bang Theory -  Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles – Greek – The Cleaner – Ugly Betty – Brothers & Sisters – Saturday Night Live – 30 Rock – Samantha Who – Til Death – Private Practice – Damages.. etc.

I’m too excited about Heroes to continue. So, I’m off to finish the season premier. :P

Pray for my sanity you guys! :P
